About me

I started as a frontend engineer in 2016. I liked building things people used. Over time I moved further into the stack, then further into the business: product ownership, operations, then compliance.

The shift happened at Copperx (KOSH), a crypto payments platform. I joined to build the product. I ended up owning the compliance engine I helped build: KYC and KYB review, transaction monitoring, fraud scoring, and the partner integrations that made the rails work.

I reviewed more than 6,000 KYC and KYB applications, made more than 7,000 transaction monitoring decisions, and built a 60-plus rule fraud scoring engine across 13 risk categories. I worked with 7 payment partners and led a team of 3 to 4 across support and compliance review.

I joined as an engineer and ended up owning the compliance engine I helped build. That path gave me something most compliance specialists do not have: I understand how the systems work at the code level, and I understand what regulators expect at the policy level.

Now I want to bring that combination to a company that takes compliance seriously as a product function, not just a legal obligation. I am open to senior compliance and risk operations roles, and to founders who need to build a program from the ground up.

What I believe

Compliance is a product, not a bottleneck.

When compliance is designed well, it moves at product speed. Bad compliance slows everything down. Good compliance makes the product stronger.

The best risk decisions come from operators, not frameworks.

Frameworks set the floor. Operators who understand the data and the business set the ceiling. I try to stay close to both.

Clarity is a competitive advantage.

Most compliance writing is impossible to act on. If the people running the process do not understand why a rule exists, they will apply it badly.
